Nom Your Outsndng GSI

Nominate your absolute favorite, amazing, outstanding GSI for an award!
Reply to this e-mail by 2/24/17 with the following:

1)  GSI’s name
2)  Which course you took with them.
3)  Which semester (Should be Spring 16 or Fall 16 or both if that’s the case)
4)  Examples of why you believe your GSI is outstanding, in full sentences, because we are asked to submit quotes from the nominations for the award ceremony.

We are asking for 201​6 – 201​7 Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award nominations from you, the students.
This award gives campus​-wide recognition to those GSIs who have demonstrated excellence in teaching.  In addition to certificates of distinction and a celebratory ceremony in the spring, award recipients who are currently enrolled graduate students will receive a $250 stipend, sponsored by the Dean of the Graduate Division.

DEADLINE to submit nominations to Lauri is Friday, February 24th.

BLSA (Berkeley’s Legal Studies Association) is hosting a Blueprint LSAT workshop where you can learn more about the LSAT, receive a discount on a Blueprint prep course and get some FREE FOOD (pizza). Please come out and join us, it will be a lot of fun and who does not love free pizza?

Topics covered: coming out in the workplace, gender presentation, resumes and networking, with added considerations for being transgender and/or QTPOC professionals. The event culminates with your ability to connect with LGBTQ+ professionals across various industries such as education, business, tech, non-profit and entrepreneurship.
We will keep geneq.berkeley.edu/career up to date with our growing list of presenters and participating employers, which include: Google, Bank of the West, LinkedIn, Stripe, Teach for America, Peace Corps, OSI Soft, SAP, CALSTRS, Goldman Sachs, IBM, PwC, Proviti, Huron Consulting, Department of State and Yelp.
