Faculty members will share their insights and advice with students about the benefits of developing relationships with professors, how to prepare for meeting professors during their office hours, how to discuss research mentorship opportunities, and how to develop the student/professor relationship in case you’d ever need to ask for a letter of recommendation.

3) Free Legal Clinic

Free Legal Clinic

Phi Alpha Delta, a pre-law fraternity here on campus and we are hosting a Free-Legal Clinic on Saturday, November 19th from 1-4 pm in Barrows 56. We will have lawyers from fields such as criminal defense, employment, labor, family and elder law to offer free consultation during that time.

I think that the clinic might be a good resource for students and their family members or friends who are in the area, and we would like to benefit as many people in the community as possible.

Paralgl Job

NOTE: This is a message I just received from a former Legal Studies major.

I graduated in May 2015 and am currently a paralegal at the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division.  The paralegal unit just posted a new Paralegal Specialist announcement on USAjobs.gov and I wanted to share it with you in case any graduating seniors are interested. We have a great group of paralegals here that graduated from Berkeley, and it would be wonderful to keep that tradition going!
The announcement was posted today and the application will close on Friday.  All one would need to do is follow the link and apply through USAJobs.gov.
Thanks!

Ally
