Perhaps the best way to understand the legal process is to serve as a juror.
We would like to offer the Legal Studies majors the opportunity to serve as jurors in Professors Cynthia McGuinn and Rich Schoenberger’s Advanced Trial Prep class’ final trials at Berkeley Law.
This Saturday, April 21, the students will conduct a full on jury trial including short jury selection, opening statements, direct and cross examinations and closing arguments. Most of the students have extensive experience in Mock Trial competitions.
We are looking for 8-10 jurors to observe the trial and conduct deliberations in a very interesting child endangerment case! Broken bones, felonies, intrigue! What could be more interesting!
The trials will be held from approximately 8:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Boalt Hall’s courtroom classroom.
We need 3 more jurors! Food will be provided!
If interested in attending the trial on 4/21, please reply to Professor Schoenberger at rschoenberger@walkuplawoffice.com ASAP, right away, now! Thanks.
