1) P/NP Deadline

P/NP Deadline

Now that many of you have experienced your first midterms of the semester, I’m getting questions about the P/NP deadline.
The P/NP DEADLINE is Friday, October 26th.

My best advice is usually to keep your classes for a letter grade, and only change to P/NP if you know you’re really not going to pass a class. Usually students (who change a class to P/NP) will work just as hard and end up with a really good grade anyway and wish they’d kept their letter grade.

All requirements for the Legal Studies major must be taken for a letter grade.
If you change a Legal Studies requirement to P/NP, you won’t be able to use it for the major.
You’ll need to take an additional course to replace it.
You can have a maximum of 1/3 of your total units taken at Cal for P/NP, but you don’t want to do that ever because you want anyone looking at your transcript later on to see that you did beautifully in your rigorous upper division (and lower div) courses.
