Data Science Advisng

The Division of Data Sciences is happy to announce that we are now offering undergraduate academic advising for students interested in the L&S Data Science BA. Please visit our new student services webpage (https://data.berkeley.edu/degrees/student-services) to learn more about our team, advising services, and how students can contact us.

Highlights about Data Science advising:

  • Advising appointments and declaration of the major are currently available to students on a phased, priority basis, dependent on students’ intended graduation date and progress toward the major.
  • Interested students should complete our Pre-Declaration Survey to get access to our bCourse, which will include more information about scheduling an appointment.
  • We are not currently offering drop-in advising.
  • We do not have any updates about the proposed Data Science minor or the proposed Data Science BS degree in the College of Engineering.
  • Students can reach us at ds-advising@berkeley.edu, which is now a monitored account.
