3) Legal Studies Tutor

Legal Studies Tutor

I am offering tutoring services to undergraduate students in the Legal Studies department. I graduated from the program in 2016 with a 3.86 GPA and completed an undergraduate thesis through the Legal Studies Honors program.

I can offer help in any of the areas listed below:

  • Understanding course syllabi and course expectations
  • Exam preparations
  • Formulating writing assignments
  • Research for writing assignments and exam preparation
  • Navigating philosophical theory

While I am comfortable tutoring in any Legal Studies course, I passed the following classes and achieved no less than an A- in each:

  • LS 177 – Survey of American Legal and Constitutional History (Prof. Brown)
  • LS 103 – Survey of American Legal and Constitutional History (Prof. Lieberman)
  • LS 139 – Comparative Perspectives on Norms and Legal Traditions (Prof. Mayali)
  • LS 162AC – Restorative Justice (Prof. Frampton)
  • LS 183 – Psychology of Diversity and Discrimination in American Law (Prof. Plaut)
  • LS 100 – Foundations of Legal Studies (Prof. Kutz)
  • LS 109 – Aims and Limits of the Criminal Law (Prof. Perry)
  • LS 138 – The Supreme Court and Public Policy (Prof. Quinn)

My rate is 25/hr. However, I understand that money is tight for a lot of students, so I am happy to work with you to come up with a reasonable agreement that doesn’t drain your bank account. I am also willing to work with groups of multiple students for the same hourly rate.

If you think I can help, feel free to call, text, or email at:

SUMMER INTERNSHIP CREDIT OPTION FOR UNDERGRADS

Now in its fifth year, the Career Center and Summer Sessions are excited to once again offer a summer internship credit option for undergrads. The Independent U.S. Summer Internship Credit Option is intended to offer a solution to all enrolled undergraduate students needing to get academic credit for their domestic internships during the summer.

This option may appeal to students who have already secured a summer internship and:

  • need or want to receive academic credit for their internships (especially undeclared students)
  • want to reflect upon their internship experiences in a structured manner through assignments and readings

Students who are approved by the Career Center will receive the course control number for the 3-unit online course offered during summer sessions.

10) Freedom in Action Conf

Freedom in Action Conf

On Saturday, February 24th the Anti-Trafficking coalition at Berkeley will be hosting the biennial Freedom in Action Conference at the Blum Center for Developing Economies in partnership with the Blum Center for Developing Economies, the Human Rights Center at the UC Berkeley School of Law, and the Student Alliance Against Trafficking.

Through this conference, we bring together voices from across diverse disciplines within the anti-human trafficking movement to come and lead workshops and discussions on the complexities of human trafficking. This year’s theme is the Politics of Trafficking.

The conference is directed toward a general audience with no required prior knowledge of trafficking.

We believe this conference has immense relevance to everyone here in the Bay Area — a major hub of human trafficking — and will provide invaluable information and education in understanding and addressing the issue both here at home and on the global scale.

I have included the link to both our website, facebook, and ticketing information if you are interested in learning more: https://freedominactionberkeley.wordpress.com

The price is $9 for community members, $5 for students, and free for survivors. Also, we do have an optional price waiver ticket for those who are unable to pay. Lunch and a light breakfast will be provided to all attendees.
